Why change our name?
BlastRadius was a great name. We loved it because it was clever, industry specific, and rolled off the tongue. Given that, why would you change your name? As it turns out, about a month before we incorporated another company trademarked the term. Despite the fact that they never used the trademark, they were unwilling to sell it to us. That put us into a spot of needing to change our name or try to fight for the continued use of BlastRadius. Frankly we’d rather spend our money on engineering and research instead of lawyers, hence the rebrand to transition from our old name, BlastRadius, to a new one, Radiant Security.
Why Radiant Security?
It’s not a decision we made lightly. We needed a new name that aligned with our mission and values – one that conveyed our dedication to providing affordable, effective security operations to all organizations, regardless of size or industry. We believe that everyone deserves the peace of mind that comes from knowing their organization is doing everything possible to prevent a breach, and we are committed to making that a reality for our customers.
The new name, Radiant Security, also conveys a sense of hope and positivity. The word “radiant” means shining or glowing brightly, which we believe is an apt description of the positive outcomes we bring to our customers. We’re still the same team of experts who use cutting-edge AI and machine learning technologies to redefine modern security operations. You can still expect the same triage accuracy and investigation quality you’ve come to rely on from us. The only difference is that you’ll be working with a company that has a new name and a fresh, updated visual identity.
