Teams that choose to insource their SOC with an AI solution know why they’re doing it: more efficiency, control, and accuracy. But one question doesn’t always get answered in the sales pitch- how do you replace the psychological reassurance of knowing someone was watching at 2 AM?
Radiant’s AI runs around the clock- triaging, enriching, and escalating without stopping. But operational relief and peace of mind aren’t the same thing. One is knowing that the AI handles the heavy lifting. The other is knowing a human is watching at all times.
Radiant’s Night Shift closes that gap. The AI never stops, your team owns the day, and our Night shift owns the night
What is the Night Shift?
For teams transitioning away from an MSSP or MDR, operational relief from an AI that runs around the clock, triaging, escalating, and responding to alerts, doesn’t always fully replace the reassurance that came with the outsourced model. For them, full peace of mind comes when there are always eyes on glass, even after their team goes home.
Radiant’s Night Shift provides human-in-the-loop monitoring, investigation, and response during the hours your analysts aren’t working. Radiant analysts step in as an extension of your team, inside the same platform you already use, under the Rules of Engagement you’ve already defined, and handle whatever the AI surfaces while you’re away.
When your team comes back in the morning, they get a full human-to-human handoff of everything that happened from Radiant’s Night Shift analysts.
- Your platform — Night Shift analysts work inside your Radiant deployment. No parallel system, no duplicate tooling.
- Your rules — All monitoring, escalation, and response actions are governed by the Rules of Engagement your team defined.
- Your hours — Whether it’s weekday evenings, weekends, or a planned vacation, the night shift clocks in at the pre-determined times.
What It Covers
-
- After Hours Monitoring & Response Weekday evenings from 5 PM to 9 AM, and continuously from Friday 5 PM through Monday 9 AM. Radiant analysts assume responsibility for active monitoring within your platform.
-
- Vacation Coverage Package Up to 10 business days (2 weeks) per year of full daytime coverage, 9 AM to 5 PM. Available as two one-week blocks or one continuous two-week period, scheduled in advance through your Customer Success Manager.
Night Shift is not an implementation or technical support service; customers must have a fully operational Radiant deployment before activating it. It is not a replacement for your SOC program; your analysts remain in control of the strategy, the rules, and the decisions. And it is not a 24/7 standing service by default — full daytime coverage is only available through the pre-scheduled Vacation Coverage Package.
Who It’s For
Night Shift is available to Radiant customers who have completed a full platform deployment, integrated data sources, tuned alert types, trained context memory, and configured Rules of Engagement.
Available today in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, France, Germany and Japan.
Do I need this?
It depends on your ideology. Radiant’s AI runs 24/7, meaning it never stops triaging and surfacing real threats and automating responses to specific cases. Some teams have their own analyst on call for after-hours escalations. More like a reactive strategy versus active monitoring, while others are comfortable waiting until their team is back in the office to review what the AI has surfaced. For those teams, Night Shift service isn’t necessary.
But for teams insourcing from an MSSP or MDR model, who have been reassured by the peace of mind that comes with extra eyes on glass, and a shift in responsibility during the after-hours, this is exactly what it’s for.
MDR/ MSSP vs Night Shift
Choosing Night Shift doesn’t mean going back to an outsourced model. It means closing the one gap they used to fill.
| MDR / MSSP | Radiant Night Shift | |
| Who monitors | Outsourced team | Extends your team |
| Platform | Their tools & process | Your platform & rules |
| Responsibility | Fully responsible 24/7 | Covers your off-hours and vacations |
| Best suited for | Teams that want to fully outsource | Teams that have insourced and want overnight continuity |
What’s next?
Night Shift coverage is also a more economical alternative, especially compared to the cost of maintaining an MSSP or MDR relationship for the peace of mind of Night Shift coverage.
