2025: The AI SOC Category is Born
For years, AI in the SOC was a romanticized idea, but no one knew when or how it would arrive. Curious SOC leaders researched AI to understand its potential. Conversations took place, but mostly overpromised and underdelivered.
At Radiant, we’ve watched the market shape and mature from the firsthand perspective of category pioneers. When we started, clients came curious about what AI could actually do. They arrived skeptical and left impressed by the operational relief we delivered. Today, our clients have evolved, and so has our product. RSAC 2025 was the first time we didn’t need to explain what this is about; instead, we talked capabilities, use cases, and pricing.
SOC leaders now seek future-proof solutions that act as natural extensions of their team, thinking like them, understanding their evolving context, and fitting in seamlessly. 2025 was the year AI matured enough to meet that need. Real product-market fit created an official new category: the AI SOC platform.
More Growth, More Competition
This year, Radiant grew significantly, and so did the number of “AI SOC Platforms.” We see this as market validation. When SACR published its 2025 AI SOC landscape report, we celebrated twice:
First, Radiant was recognized as having the ‘most unique value proposition’ and nominated as a key AI SOC vendor amongst dozens of players. As pioneers, we maintained strong differentiation as new players entered.
Second, close to a hundred vendors made the “AI SOC” list- that’s a category win. According to SACR, AI-driven SOC platforms emerged as a top strategic priority for CISOs in 2025.

We kept hearing: ‘SIEM pricing forces us to choose which logs we can afford to keep.’ This wasn’t just a budget issue; it was crippling AI investigations. Our AI can only connect the dots it can see. Our integrated log management lets you ingest everything without the pay-per-volume trap. Now our AI stitches together data across every source, uncovering connections incomplete logs would’ve missed. Some clients replaced their legacy SIEM entirely.
Looking Ahead
I’ve spent nearly 25 years in this industry. Through it all, one thing never changed: SOC teams were always underwater. That’s what drove my co-founder Barry Steinman, and me to start Radiant four years ago.
2025 proved that SOC teams don’t need more rules, bigger budgets, or AI with conditions and exceptions. We built Radiant to integrate seamlessly with any stack and workflow, delivering AI triage for your SOC as it exists today, while autonomously adapting to new threats.
